A workshop tanya and I gave in sinaloa, to a group of young artist, and some members of the comunity including kids, this installation was design to be built in 3 days with recyclable materials, organic and also our recyclable waste like plastic, and most of the products that come from corporations and that we consume in the society of today.
The elephant represents nature, and the toilet represents our human waste, the elephant is feeding from our waste and everything inside the elephants belly is our garbage.
The baby elephant is feeding from the mother, and therefore is feeding from our waste and garbage. The baby elephant represents natures future the way we are heading right now...
Un taller que dimos tanya y yo a unos jovenes artistas en sinaloa, de escultura efimera, donde se usaron materiales organicos reciclables y materiales inorganicos reciclables como la mayoria de nuestros desperdicios de productos que consumimos, y que la mayoria de las personas no reciclan.
Es un elefante que representa la naturaleza, y se esta alimentando de una taza de escusado, la cual representa los desperdicios humanos, dentro de su estomago esta lleno de estos desperdicios, el elefante bebè que se encuentra detras de ella, se esta alimentando de su madre y por lo tanto de basura. Este elefante bebe representa el futuro de la naturaleza en este momento.
